I love the thumb-holes, and the zipper is fantastic. While it's a nice layering piece, (fits true to size and fairly close to the body) I would never wear it on its own as outerwear - it simply isn't warm enough. While I wish it were a smidge heavier, I'm not disappointed with it, and I layer with it regularly. I have very sensitive skin, and I have not found it irritating, but I do wear it over long-sleeve high-neck shirts, so - grain of salt.
