    Soft and warm

"These are wonderful, thin but warm and soft. Love!"

    — Shannon S. (5/5)

    Best leggings I’ve owned

"I love how comfortable and lightweight these leggings are! They’re too see-through to wear alone but I love using them for layering."

    — Eliza A. (5/5)

    "So comfy and waem!"

    curious cottons

"except for multiples of underwear i usually have single yala items . . i think i but the samples? not on purpose but they show up at sales . . am i right with this theory! i love them. sadly my bamboo items get larger and larger as they age but i still love the shirts until the arms become very long…sleeveless dresses are wonderful but again i’ve ended up with some cotton ones! i love them. also i love that you are in ashland and have the best pop up sales! my faves are your long merino underwear that i’ve had to wean myself away from since finally it seems like spring! sometimes they were too cozy to take off at bedtime . . zzzzzzzzz debK"

    — Debra K. (5/5)

    Best Merino

"To go with the long sleeve Merino top, my family loves the Merino leggings. They are the perfect layer under ski pants or for camping. My husband says they are his favorite layer for warmth when he’s outside working."

    — Zuriel D. (5/5)

"These leggings seem to run a whole size small. Unfortunately I can’t size up because it’s final sale. They’re also more see-through than I expected from the pictures."

    — Eliza (3/5)

"The Merino wool leggings are nice and warm while being light to wear."

    — Karyl (5/5)

"I am a huge fan of merino wool so I’m always on the hunt for companies that offer pure wool. I purchased the size medium. I am 5 feet tall and 140 pounds. these fit true to size, obviously because of my height these are very high waisted so they come up well above my belly button, elastic is very comfortable. I have now purchased these in all three colors."

    — Karrie (5/5)

"The fabric seems nice but the sizing is off. Still a great price for 100% merino pieces."

    — Annika (4/5)

    Q&A

    Our Story

Hi, we’re Rachel and Tif, YALA’s Co-Owners and besties. We started working at YALA more than 20 years ago, worked our way up, and took ownership in 2019. We’ve been here through a lot of changes, but one thing hasn’t changed: we’re still here, still dreaming up softer things, and still doing business with heart, intention, and a whole lot of care.

Growing with YALA from seed to successful business gave us the foundation and philosophy that we guide YALA with today. Our goal is transparency so that you know we are a brand you can trust.
    ~

Sustainability is a journey, a learning process. We'll make mistakes, but the important thing is that we learn from them, make the changes necessary and keep moving forward.
    ~

    That's the plan.

    WHY BAMBOO?

With sustainable and responsible production a top priority, we choose organically grown bamboo as our primary fabric for reasons exclusive to this single, prolific plant.
