Fabric Care Instructions

35% Viscose from Bamboo | 63% Organic Cotton | 2% Spandex

Machine or hand wash cold, gentle cycle with like colors and mild soap. Do not use bleach. Tumble dry low, or reshape and lay flat to dry. Low iron if desired. For best results, wash with like items. May be dry-cleaned.

We recommend washing your YALA with Tru Earth Eco-Strip Laundry Detergent

There will be a small amount of shrinkage due to the untreated nature of the fabric. Heat will create more.

For longer life: Wear more. Wash less.

Not just another sweatshirt jacket

"Quality sweatshirt jacket that is more than just another sweatshirt jacket. Love the color (rosewood), with contrasting brass accent zipper. At 5'9" is long, almost mid thigh, good for colder days or a transitional jacket. Generous front pockets. Washed in cold water, briefly tumbled in dryer and hung to finish air dry to prevent shrinkage and maintain it's size. As a true size 18, fits well. I bought the xxl. Wish more items were made in xxl sizing. This is my 1st non-wool item from Yala. All my wool items are xxl or M-xl/W-2x and fits well. Haven't tried any bamboo items yet, as many items only go to xl."

Our Story

Hi, we’re Rachel and Tif, YALA’s Co-Owners and besties. We started working at YALA more than 20 years ago, worked our way up, and took ownership in 2019. We’ve been here through a lot of changes, but one thing hasn’t changed: we’re still here, still dreaming up softer things, and still doing business with heart, intention, and a whole lot of care.

Growing with YALA from seed to successful business gave us the foundation and philosophy that we guide YALA with today. Our goal is transparency so that you know we are a brand you can trust.

With sustainable and responsible production a top priority, we choose organically grown bamboo as our primary fabric for reasons exclusive to this single, prolific plant.
