YALA Steps Into Inclusive Sizing

Inclusive sizing matters

YALA has created clothing and bedding for over two decades focusing on comfort, environmental sustainability, and social responsibility.

Those standards still guide us, but today we are passionate about implementing something else; more inclusive sizing. Because what good is a fantastic product that only fits a portion of the people who want it? Everyone should be included in enjoying YALA Sleepwear and Loungewear. And if they aren't, that's on us.

Slow but steady wins the race

As a small but mighty brand, we have been quietly expanding our sizing for two years and strategizing how to scale this effort so that everyone is included. 

The fit expertise required to expand sizes is new to us, so we're taking our time to get it right. Add the current supply chain interruptions, and we have no choice but to move forward gradually.

Where we are today

In our journey toward greater size inclusivity, we currently offer over sixteen styles of Women's Sleepwear and Loungewear in sizes XS-3X (0-22). The rest of our women's styles are currently limited to sizes S-XL, but that will increase as new products are made, and best-sellers are reproduced.

 Our Men's line is slightly more limited, with sizes ranging from S-2X, but all Men’s products are available in this range.

Where we're going 

We've accepted a gradual approach to expanding our sizing, but we do have goals.

By 2023, YALA expects to double our women's styles available through 3x, which would bring that number to over thirty! From that point forward, we plan to continue increasing variety each year, focusing on our most popular, classic styles first.
